I thought you made some unkind cut as to Bush's intentions. His only intention is to put the best people in the best spot regardless of race, creed or color. In the case of the Judiciary, Bush feels, and I happen to agree, that he wants well qualified, honest judges capable of independent thought BUT also leaning toward strict Constitionalism. He does NOT want activist judges, not elected by the people, but attempting to MAKE LAW rather then INTERPRET LAW from the bench. You may not agree with that, but if you dont, you should run and win the Presidency. Gore couldnt, Kerry couldnt. The PEOPLE seem to agree with GWB and his philosophy. The proof of this is not only his election but the long coattails he provided for others running for office with him. jdn

ps: If you examine Bill Clinton you would find his feelings are closer to GWB's then the majority leadership of the current Democratic party. Thats likely why he was so popular along with being fortunate enough to be presiding over an economic bubble.
