Sure I do.

Think historically.

The Dems could have done away with it a long time ago, if they wanted.

The fact that it is being improperly used now doesn't necessarily mean that it has to go.

I'm an optimist, perhaps in spite of the evidence, and think that at some point both parties are going to come to their senses. In the meantime, we should not throw out the baby with the bath water.
