This is why the Christian rightwing must butt out. They introduce these crazy no-win issues into the debate which nobody wants to deal with and their views on them all are extreme. The religious right is a big fat drag on our nation now. Just look at stem cell research for instance. But also the fight against AIDS. They put their superstitions in front of common sense. meanwhile they're all hypocrites anyway. They only care about certain types of "life" and certain marriage rights.
