just because someone has been brought up in a different environment and not aware of the potential danger i cannot see blaming them for something they have no experience or knowledge.

i can remember when someone would visit nyc , we go for dinner at night and then they wanted to take a late night walk back in 70's. they had no idea of big city life or the danger.

same with some who visit the red light district in boston and would wonder up a street on their own just amazed at the sites. I kept a close eye on them being a city boy.g one time a guy was coming up from behind him. i expect to take his wallet. the looked back and we made eye contact and i pointed to three more guys. he quietly moved away from the guy. Of course if i mentioned it to this guy he would never have believed it.

same thing when a bunch of guys went into a neighborhood mens bar and they get a little smashed.. since they are not regulars they should keep to themselves and leave the regulars alone. However, this night three strangers came in with three lovely woman. I had to leave for night school and told them not to attempt to make conversation with any of the girls as girls do not come in this place and these guys are strangers. the bar was run by the Family i figured these guy to be big time Family.

I got a call the next morning in work. who were you with last night? I recognized the voice as another friend like me who used to frequent this bar. he tells me someone was trying to hit on a girl and he almost got his head blown off. the guy had his gun out already to take his head off but the bartender told him to put it away they were friends of a friend and they just had too much to drink.

I mentioned this to the guy later in the day about not trying to make small talk with the girls and how close he came to not living much longer. He never believed me. I don't think he ever went back in there thou.

ps you would think someone from kansas city would know better! g I think unless you are bought up with street smarts these people seem not to be able to see danger.
