Could be a Lifetime Achievement Award pick for somebody, that poster ... so you did start up a Political Morons thread eh, i missed that ... good on ya, but, um, your categories

'The categories are: Conservative, Liberal, and Moderate.'

That's a little constrictive, don't you think ... where is the Wild Colonial Boy category, the Uppity Campesino, the Mouthy Wetcoast Logger ... the Canuckistani Radical Agnostic Proselytiser category, which has in addition to its joyous lilt a great acronym ... 'Moderate' huh, i got banned on a thread that said it was for moderates, for pointing out that the current use of the word in US politics is damaging to the Queen's English [got unbanned since, the fellow just PMed me up and offered to, how about that] .... and 'liberal', geez you people are using this in a way that would make Adam Smith cringe ... 'conservative', no that's too close to preservative, nobody wants to be politically embalmed ... guess if i had to choose, i'd pick some variation on latin for the word free, which is 'liber-', but this would presume a country where they speak the language as she is meant to be spoke

Well anyway, my political moron nomination is the Gerry Mander/ilmarinen individual ... a patient in a mental institution quite likely, imho, that guess is often made but this time in all seriousness - what else would explain the style? ... we just voted in a provincial election here, there was a referendum with it on the famous STV, single transferable vote, a variety of proportional representation in place of the first past the post style we have now .... well, a number of british columbians might have been interested in discussing this in advance of the voting date, but no way after that poster had nattered on about it endlessly
