There is no way that we can ever leave Iraq without giving them an Air Force.

to protect themselves
to deliver a quick reaction force
to nail a hideout
provide close fire support
patrol borders
escort convoys
patrol pipelines
protect shipping
etc
etc
but most of all, to let their own troops know that evac, if wounded, is available, and dependable.
I haven't heard a word about any flight recruiting and training.
