Hi S., Thanks for the review of the Smart Money article. I've owned VTSS for almost 4 years now. It's not let me do much buying along the way, but has turned in a nice profit (both realized and unrealized) over the time. I originally heard of VTSS back when I was trying to lose some money with Cray Computer - hence the connection to GaAs. Occasionally I screen the Value Line product called Value Screen (on CD-ROM) for interesting ideas in small caps...... Here's one I tried recently with V-L's 5200 stocks: Price Stability Rank <= 10 ----- 1601 stocks left % Institutional Holdings >= 50% ----- 331 stocks left % Insider Holdings >= 20% ----- 109 stocks left Sales Trailing last 12 months <= 200MM ----- 52 stocks left Projected 3-5 Year Avg. return >= 15% ----- 3 stocks left!!! Of those three, I already own one of them, and it's been a major success for me. Here they are: Medic Computer Systems (MCSY) Neurex Corporation (NXCO) Vitesse Semiconductor (VTSS) Two of these have revenues and growing business and one is a biotech that is still quite speculative.
