Marijuana could be taxed like cigarettes. Who could compete? Yes there would be some tax cheating but anything major would be cracked down on. So why risk going to jail when you could just buy a pack of marijuana cigs at your local liquor store? This move would virtually wipe out the illegal drug trade in this country. Hard drug use would plummet.
