The AUSTRALIA CHINA BUSINESS COUNCIL says the apparent snubbing of B-H-P by Chinese Congress Leader WU BANGGOW on an official state visit to WA should act as a lesson for the rapidly growing business relationship between Australia and China. Mr WU, the second most powerful Chinese politician, spent two days in Western Australia inspecting gas and iron facilities in Perth and Dampier in the Pilbara. He visited port facilities at WOODSIDE and RIO TINTO, but did NOT visit the BHP site. Our Western Australian Correspondent KEN BOASE joins us to explain the significance of the visit
