dipy here is a bit more drivel for you to ponder given your statements recently. It would appear that the Congress of the USA is also in disagreement with you.

You said....."So much blather. I said ANWR oil is certainly not going to be set aside for the US consumer, but sold to the highest bidder in the international markets instead. And you are posting unrelated drivel in response.".....

EQUITABLE ALLOCATION OF NORTH SLOPE CRUDE OIL
Section 410 of Pub. L. 93-153 provided that: ''The Congress
declares that the crude oil on the North Slope of Alaska is an
important part of the Nation's oil resources, and that the benefits
of such crude oil should be equitably shared, directly or
indirectly, by all regions of the country. The President shall use
any authority he may have to insure an equitable allocation of
available North Slope and other crude oil resources and petroleum
products among all regions and all of the several States.''

Meanwhile, Alaskan oil production is expected to decrease by 5% in 2004 and by 1% in 2005, continuing a steady decline since the state's peak output in 1988, at 2.017 million bbl/d. For the period January-August 2004, Alaska averaged production of about 902,000 bbl/d of oil, or about 16% of total U.S. crude oil production. Most of Alaska's oil output comes from the giant Prudhoe Bay Field, and is transported via the Alyeska pipeline.
