Really Peter????

Unlike myself, you have stated some of your policy preferences.

1) you stated that you support the effort to restrict the ability of the minority to slow or stall judicial nominations. (Of course, anytime one reduces the power of minority, that measure of power is bestowed upon the majority, so my observation that you 'wanted to slightly increase the power of the majority in the Senate' appears demonstrably true....)

2) in response to my query, you answered that you WOULD NOT support amending the Constitution so that Senators were apportioned by population --- just as House members are. So, in this instance, it seems equally clear that you would oppose this MAJOR INCREASE of majoritarian political power.

So, how can you challenge the statement that I made, that you support a modest increase in majoritarian power, but not this major increase?
