FDR got Cs at Harvard. And JFK was roundly condemned for getting As at the same school. "It shows a lack of self assurance" was the schtick back then. To be fair, back in FDR's day, only smart or rich kids went to college, so it was a bit different from today when the Freshman class can't read or write a full paragraph. I'm sorry, can't reed or ride a fool pair of graphs.
