I have given a lot of thought to the way the MI drug was "found."

It may very well be a completely new way of doing things. Wonder if any IPR issues are involved?

The way the MI drug was "discovered" potentially opens up a whole new source of income for DCGN if it can keep the method proprietary.

Clever bastards.

Even if it cannot patent the method, as a pioneer it will have a lot of interested pharmas knocking at its door and therefore is likely to gain new sources of income.

Based on this, I have added to my position today though I hate to pay these prices.

Edit: I briefly, very briefly, reviewed DCGN's patents and patent applications. Didn't see anything that dealt specifically with the method I think was used with respect to the MI drug, though there are a number of software patents and applications which might fit the bill. This area is really not one in which I feel competent to comment upon. Perhaps others will join in.
