OT ... Amy J, re "look at the very last line to understand the connection to Intel."

The connection -- referring to Fister, who hasn't worked for Intel for a year or so -- is in the postscript, which for many is an afterthought. That says volumes IMO.

re "Hightech is somewhat under a balancing act between avoiding the creation of unions and retaining executives:

1. Whatever union activity happens at EA is extremely relevant to Intel - both are in the hightech industry.
"

Are you suggesting excessive executive compensation will cause employees to vote for unions at some hightech companies ... and that in turn might cause creation of unions at Intel? If so, I don't buy it.

Creation of unions is generally caused by real or perceived exploitation of employees, not the relative pay of executives. Besides, long-term stockholders might actually be the ones being most exploited by excessive executive compensation.

re "If this isn't related to Intc, I don't know what is."

You frequently stretch my definition of "on-topic".

Ron
