Bob:

I don't expect you to simply take my word for it but, for what it's worth, lots of thought and research went into the selection of the Washington properties; not only geologic but also regarding the regulatory and environmental issues. The key is that we are on privately owned lands which are not subject to the problems facing some other mining companies working on "public" land. In addition, there is a great deal of evidence that the tide has turned in the state, even for Battle Mountain etc. As loud as the anti-mining lobby has been up to last year, it has lost far more fights recently than it has won and, to my knowlewdge, it has little say on private lands or where the local support for mining is high. While we are sensitive to environmental concerns and the associated politics, we are comfortable that, if we find economic ore, we will not run into the sort of problems that have plagued miners in the area recently.
