Democracy in Iraq will be a good thing...if it comes. The problem has always been with the way Bush has done this, not about whether it would be good to have a stable democratic Middle East. The rush to war based on half truths and lies and changing intentions is a stupid way to bring democracy to any region. What it gets you is the inssurgency we fight and that kills american soldiers every day. We shall see how things turn out and if democracy and lasting peace ever come to the middle east through the current administrastions methods. jb
