<I have a deal for you. We will keep our guns here hid away in our closets...and you keep your Helengrad and her ilk there with you in New Zealand, deal? <g>>

Sorry, I can't agree to that. I'm hoping to export her to the UN [of which I bet she would just LOVE to be the first female Secretary General]. I'm hoping to get what's called an extreme right-wing party elected here in a few months. act.org.nz or better still, libertarianz.org.nz

PS: Apart from a few turns with a cousin's air-gun when we were about 15, I've never fired a gun except for one day at Camp Pendleton about 6 years ago when my brother in law [American living in Vista] took me there for skeet shooting. I got 17 out of 20, and he was a bit disappointed that he only got 12 or 13 [figuring he'd show the hicksville guy how real men do stuff]. That's all we did. It was great fun.

My father was a school champion shooter in the 1920s, so maybe it runs in the blood.

As a whipper snapper, I have fired thousands of rounds from a shanghai, [stretchy rubber inner tube with leather pouch and stone, or ball bearing] so maybe that's good training for shotgun firing.

I can see why people become trigger-happy gun nuts and why there are 10s of thousands of wounded and dead every year in the USA from gunshots [people, not doves and other beasties]. Pat Tillman [and a lot of others] didn't live to tell the tale. I see the family are really annoyed at having been lied to about the circumstances of his death.
