"If you don't mind, I'd like to end this subject after this post..."

Stop any time you like. Your fallacious arguments are getting rather tiresome, anyway.

"If you say so."

LOL. Clever way of denying the reality of the democracies that are not party to the ICC, without actually countering any of my argument. The term "slothful induction" seems to fit.

"many in this world would rather see the US aligned with Western European democracies than the likes of Pakistan, Iran, and Iraq."

Never mind Japan, Mexico, Thailand, India, Chile, Turkey, etc. Fallacy of exclusion?

BTW, "many in this world" probably don't like the idea of Western Europe aligning itself with the likes of Venezuela.

"Besides, do note that US had nothing against the court itself."

Bulls#!t. Even Bill Clinton expressed reservations about the ICC just before he left office and recommended that the incoming Bush administration not seek Senate ratification of it unless its "significant flaws" were addressed. The fact is the US was NEVER a party to it as it was never ratified by the US Senate. It was never ratified because those flaws were never addressed.

"If only Americans would be exempt from any prosecution in it, ever. How is that for having the moral high ground?"

How's THIS for moral high ground?

"Pursuant to article 124 of the Statute of the International Criminal Court, the French Republic declares that it does not accept the jurisdiction of the Court with respect to the category of crimes referred to in article 8 [i.e. War Crimes] when a crime is alleged to have been committed by its nationals or on its territory."

Gotta love those morally superior French. LOL.

"It is a place I know quite a bit about, having lived there for a while ..."

Well, then - I guess that settles everything. LOL.

"Excuse me, have you forgotten for a minute that Monaco is a PRINCIPALITY? Prince does whatever he wants and frankly I don't think he needs a "good excuse" or any excuse at all."

The royal family of Saudi Arabia will be glad to hear that you approve of their exemption from jurisdiction of the ICC on the grounds of being a monarchy. Brilliant!
