Ish, I heard that some warriors of the Illinois tribe killed Chief Pontiac, and several tribes joined together to punish them. According to the story there, the Illinois chose dying by starvation instead of being tortured, and killed, by those attackers. We got a good view of the island from the park, but of course, no one is allowed on the island, or at least, that was what we were told.
