The Xeno Chronicles. Subject: Chronicles the life of Dr. David Sachs over two years while his lab conducts the double K/O (alpha-galactoside, sp.) mini-swine transplantation experiments (kidneys, thymuses and hearts into baboons) at Harvard. For those who might look for it, the roles of Immutran, Biotransplant, Novartis, and PPL are (barely) mentioned. Opinion: Can not recommend. Reasons: Shallow treatment of man and science. Hardly any science and worse, just a dishwater-bland portrait of a great person and scientist. Written journalistically, it takes about 2 hours for a layman to read, which is lucky since there is no nourishment for the reader to go any further.
