Ultim@te Rumours News: Sharky @ 2:05pm MDT
On visiting the fab. 3Dfx stand Brian Brunning quickly whisked me away to show myself and my companion for the day
Steven O'Neil, Ultim@te Race on the 3Dfx. Yes it is now 'officially' working and Kalisto have signed a deal with
Microprose to publish it in approximately three weeks. As I have played the PowerVR version I can tell you that the
3Dfx version has all the features of the PowerVR and more. Actually there were a coupe of differences in that your car
no longer has a PowerVR logo... oh and the frame rate isn't as choppy as the PowerVR's. In fact the version I played
was much more of a full game with around 5 tracks to choose from as well as a championship mode. Brian also told me
that there would possibly be some welcome additions to the game itself; extra touches such as rain and snow and leaves
blowing around,"...to slow down the exceedingly quick frame rate." he joked.
