It's just you Brian. I found the article to be pretty straight forward contrarian logic. If you believe that the industry will improve in late 2005 you need to be buying now.

But that's the real question. Will the btb see significant improvement by the end of this year? It's hard to get a V shaped recovery when you haven't really had a slowdown. All we have seen is simply lower asp's resulting in reduced demand for new semiconductor capital equipment.

INTC can afford to spend through actual recessions. Basing capex expectations on INTC's announced capex is simply not enough information to figure out when it's best to buy AMAT cheaply.

Lets not even talk about other stocks in the industry who get less of INTC's business.
