More likely, that stable anchor will be either Asian currency or a basket of currency. And that is not the eventual goal for China. the eventual goal is free float.

No, I don't think China will back RMB with gold<g>. Up till now, I have not seen even one economist or decision maker mentioned about the possibility to back up Yuan with Gold.
