Heya B-man. Not doing any more market writing/analysis....it was way too much work and I stopped having fun annotating charts; I enjoyed it more when it was just stuff being shared between trading pals....plus posting live market calls all day was so stressful it screwed up my personal trading (too much pressure when there are some 700 people online waiting for a signal....jeez).

To top it all off, the outfit I was with had asked me to make x number of market calls a day, which was downright idiotic because I made a call when I saw something to trade, and not because I hadn't made my quota of calls for the day.....I learned long ago to not 'look' for a trade, but to have one saunter up to me with a sly grin and a come-hither look before I showed any interest in it at all.

I remember when I first started trading, I was always hungry for the next trade, and jumped on anything that looked half-good....sorta like dating in my college days.

So I pulled away from the trading boards and became one of those pasty, feta cheese white traders who live in their sweatpants, don't leave the house for the whole trading day, and generally live to trade. It was a strange, surreal existance, and one that I've heard many full-time traders fall into.

These days, I've totally simplified, and am down to one monitor (from 4), don't watch anything other than the indices, couldn't give a ratz-ass about watching the correlations between gold, bonds, market leaders, corn and pigs-feet futures, yen, dollar, etc etc.....it was making my head spin, and did nothing to help my trading other than to cram so much information down my throat that I had to choke down 10 cups of coffee to help digest it.

I trade better just watching price, price, and um, price. Whatta concept. Just like so many old-timers have said for so long....simplify and pay attention. It's worked for me.

Cheers.
