"I don't have an explanation as to where these feelings come from, not do I claim superiority over those that don't have them."

What you seem to completely misunderstand is that people can love their country very much, and have deep feelings of love (so in fact DO have the feelings you believe they do not have), perhaps even love their country as much (or more) than you think you do, and still want to change it for the better. You would do better, imo, not to criticize people whom you cannot understand, but rather stick to the issues you do understand. I am sure there are people who do not love their country, but the assertion on this thread was that people who criticize what their country does, do not love it. I will not accept such an assertion, for I have seen, and experienced, that it is quite plainly very wrong. Take your Nazis, and Frenchmen- I'm very sure that the French people who criticized the Vichy government loved their country very much, despite the fact that they felt the need to criticize it, because of the government that had taken control of part of it.
