Good to see you, too, Michael. Are you still in Italy?
One of the things my wife and I did over the past month or so was spend 8 days in Paris. Had a wonderful time and are already planning the next trip. We were fortunate enough to be in a hotel close to the Tuilleries and the Louvre. And walking distance to the left bank. And found the Metro cheap and very accessible.
Italy will most likely be our next stop, however, perhaps next summer. As our plans begin to get clearer, I'll be in touch for recommendations.
As for inflation rearing it's ugly head, I'll have to get my two cents (well, probably costs four cents now) in. I gather you've not checked in on the debate as to how the numbers get cooked, ur, calculated.
Sure looks like inflation from my place in the economic spectrum: gas prices up a great deal, heating fuel up a great deal, property taxes up a great deal, vacation costs (those euro to dollar translations) way up, and so on. And then there are the medical costs.
As for the internet, your point is well taken.
