This is just a total misunderstanding of the Israeli situation, and the excessive (in the opinion of the majority of Israelis) political power given to the orthodox parties, with concommitant influence over religious decrees. Over 80% of Israeli Jews are "secular". They define themselves as Jews because they are Israeli, not because they are Orthodox Jews. Israel is far, far from the only state to have an established religion and many other states don't enshrine religious rights for minorities into the law like Israel does. You don't think that Islam is established in Egypt? You don't think that the Copts suffer all kinds of legal discrimination? And let's not talk about Saudi Arabia! So why does only Israel get this specious 'apartheid' crap thrown at it?
