Well if it is so subjective, then why the blood line rule? How come the girl in our question does not have to jump through hoops to prove she is a Jew but another person who would arguably be a bigger (though perhaps not perfect) genetic and cultural Jew cannot be considered a Jew?

You can't have it both ways.

BTW, I bet if you were to do DNA tests of Arab Bedouins or Palestinians you could come up with a fairly objective measure of their ethnicity.
