Inheritance is a very different issue than ethnicity, at least in most of the world and especially in the more modern countries, which Israel claims to be one.

In our previous example, suppose the son of our original Jewish couple had married a Russian woman but kept his Jewish culture. Further assume that his daughter had married a Jewish man. Now his grandson who carries 80% Jewish bloodline is not an ethnic Jew but the girl of our story with less than 1% bloodline and a great possibility of not having much of Jewish culture is a Jew?!

As it stands the boy could be even a good believer in Judaism and still would have to prove to be a Jew. In most of the world and especially outside of the middle east, this does not jive well. Furthermore it seems like a fairly racist view of religion to consider someone of a particular ethnicity so long as a single drop of blood comes from the right sources in their genetic make up.

Again, we are talking about ethnicity here and not the religious beliefs. Unlike material possessions, religion and ethnicity cannot be neatly passed down the line like a family heirloom.

As I said, other than Parsis of India, I know of no other group of people who have such racist view of religion. Incidentally, they too share the some parallels with Jews in that they left Iran after the Islamic invasions. Sadly they were more successful than the Jews in keeping their genetic purity and so they are facing extinction.

As to racial purity of Palestinians, you need to consult one of the Haplogroup charts that was posted here about a week ago. It showed that Bedouins carried about 85% of "Arab" markers and Palestinians had 75% of it. Egyptians in contrast were only about 60% and by the time you made it to Morocco it was down to 6%. On the other hand Moroccans had 80% North African markers.

If you have links to Israeli and/or Jewish Haplogroup charts I'd love to see how coherent the genetic make up is.
