I'm not interested in refighting the SS stuff right now. My own view is that the Bush folk want to get rid of it and that the proposals for private accounts are simply a step in that direction.

If one agrees that a social insurance program like SS is a social good, then negotiations are possible. But the Bush folk don't agree.

Thanks for the restaurant recommendation. It sounds familiar. Was it in Princeton in the early 80s? I spent a summer there and recall at least one wonderful seafood dinner.

You also recommended an Italian restaurant but I seem to have lost it. Could you tell me the name and location again.

We're going down to Princeton for at least one day trip in June to hit the Princeton Record Exchange. I'm looking for any surviving Ray Charles lps. I know. They are all gone.
