It is a book. If it pisses'em off, if it infuriates them, if they will talk in order to get the guard to stop holding it or standing on it, if mishandling(whatever that means)the Koran will save one American GI from one piece of shrapnel, it is worth it. Or would you rather go back to naked pyramids and dogs at genitals? Keep in mind this is a book.

Yes I realize it enflames the entire culture of Muslims when this occurs and that is a shame. Much like when they burn our flag should anger us, but we don't go around and kill 6 people because of it, we realize it is a symbol, it is ultimately a thing, a piece of cloth or a piece of paper. The ideal behind it is what is sacred and cannot be touched by the crowds. Burning or flushing a Bible will not change my ideal of my forgiving and grace giving God. Maybe they should remember that.
