I have not been able to smooth sail without DiskWarrior since it came out, about half a decade ago. All updates since then have been free instant downloads. Should have been bundled with the OS (especially OSX) from the gitgo. And repairing permissions with Disk Utility about once a week has been standard procedure since OSX came out.

You just wake up from a five year slumber, or what!?
