Telkonet, Inc. (TKO), the leader in providing in-building broadband access over existing electrical wiring, today announced that Multiband (MBND), one of the nation's largest DirecTV Master System Operators, has commenced the deployment of Telkonet's PLC high-speed Internet system, beginning in geographic markets where the demand and opportunities are the greatest.
The Multiband Multi-Dwelling Unit Internet communications services, which include Telkonet's high-speed Internet system, were recently installed in 4 commercial multi-dwelling residential communities, totaling 760 dwelling units. 19 more properties are in the installation pipeline, totaling an additional 3,500 dwelling units.
Multiband provides voice, data and video systems and services to multiple dwelling units (MDUs), including apartment buildings and time-share resorts throughout the United States.
