Interesting article and I believe there is a lot of validity to its points. We had a real estate bubble in the late 80s. I live in one of the wealthiest counties in the country and it took until the early 90s before a home buyer in '88 broke even. That said, one of my investing partners is a retired Morgan Stanley senior VP and he never paid much to the perma-bear rantings of Roach.
FWIW, I think the housing market flattens out and the speculative money looks to come back into the market. '06 and '07 could be very good market years if we have stable interest rates, moderating commodity prices and a modest economy.
WTI got a nice pop yesterday during their annual meeting. Wonder what was said? It would be nice to see some follow through.
Bought some IBM starting at around 73. Will add on dips. I doubt they will miss again. Most of the miss was attributed to delayed orders. I know none of this fits your portfolios but I think tech will start to gain some momentum later in the year.
