Nadine's view about peace is darker than mine but her realism time and time again turns out to be right. Call me a cockeyed optimist but i think Abbas is doing OK and even have some hope that Hamas can be turned into a middle east IRA. Will sharon like moses need to be replaced before they get to the promised land of peace, perhaps. Israel is wanting in new young dynamic leadership. I used to think that sharon would be like nixon to china but i think the ultimate peace will need to be made by younger leaders without baggage with a following of young folks in the respective countries. mike
