You are going to have to explain what you mean. I'll be happy to answer your question if you can get specific, so I know what you are asking. This far, YOU seem to be the one advocating that official rules should be ignored --- not me. YOU seem to be the one pushing that sort of thinking. [The rules of the Senate say cloture requires a 2/3 majority vote to shut off debate. The rules of the Senate also say that it requires a 3/5 majority vote to CHANGE THE RULES OF THE SENATE.] All I said Peter was that if you don't like the rules, then you should move to legally change 'em.
