If you have taken the time to get to know other cultures then you have certainly observed that it takes all types to make a society, from psychotic geniuses or moronic rednecks to long suffering saints and kindly simpletons. If there is a 'picked fight', it is LnS who picked it. That musing wasn't his first broad based Muslim bash by a long shot, and I have tactfully notified him on more than one occassion that such things are misdirected and destructive. It was no oversight on his part. Did you see him apologize? I saw him spam it and rub it into peoples noses who expressed offense. I have been the recipient of bomb threats, so I know what type of people in America are behind such behavior. I also listened to narrow minded Middle Eastern Muslims and know how they speak about Westerners. Eccept for skin color and language you would think it is the same person. I can't imagine a pilot or a mechanic being offended by the post he submitted that he compared as similar. It amazes me that he (and perhaps you) sees no difference.
