Need not be a 'group' (there is no requirement for that). Individuals will do quite nicely. Now, imagine this: Some time in the future Some extremely liberal (or otherwise) President that you don't like much is holding office.... Maybe he's not above wielding power against his 'enemies' by utilizing the 'security' powers of the office that have been building up for decades and more. maybe he's not above trumping-up or exploiting some 'crisis' to further his aims.... Now... how comfortable are you with decisions taken that have moved us further down a slippery slope toward an 'all powerful' Executive, and diminished oversight, checks and balances, and individual freedoms?
