Nothing surprises me when so much money and influence is at stake. The whole medieval system of fiefdoms is at stake. I really don't know how to make the Sunnis feel better about their new position. I think they should have taken an active role in the elections. It's comical when you see headlines saying they were afraid to go - they are the ones killing everyone in sight with the help of mr foreign fighter aka joe al quaeda.

Federalism is not going to be a joyous occassion for a bunch of medieval princes who exercised unlimited power in the previous fiefdoms. There will be no fun of any kind for the future as their assets are spread around the entire Iraqi nation. They will not be able to choose their special interest group with whom to bestoy special oil vouchers so they can blow up innocent people so they can get a 1 way ticket to visit allah.
