The GOP is split about 60% rightwingers, 40% moderates. Something like that. The moderates though can make all the difference in terms of taking away congress and the White House from the rightwing. I'm not sure how many seats are open in 2006, but dont expect many rightwingers to win except in very red states like Alabama. Even Tom DElay will get voted out. And Delay will take many down with him.
