"I Kinda Like This Idea For ‘08 Polipundit Could Fred Thompson be a possible Presidential candidate for 2008? (Link via Instapundit). I honestly have not been able to get excited about any of those currently seen as angling for the nomination – except Condi, and I just don’t think she is going to run. Thompson, though, is pretty exciting to me – at first blush anyway. I haven’t thought this one through at length, but I like the sound of it. Of course, that could be because I am a big television and movie fan. I am also a huge fan of Ronald Reagan who was also, of course, an actor. Fred Thompson has had quite an interesting career, including the story of how he got into acting and how he got elected to the Senate. Although he served as a senator, he is definitely not a “career” politician. With a few more additions like this one to the speculation for ‘08 and maybe I will be able to stop yawning long enough to follow it. -- Lorie Byrd" polipundit.com
