Orca, sometimes you are a fool. I do not support the war, nor Bush. Too many dependent democrats make silly assumptions that if one does not like their candidate, then they must be a republican...stupid assumption.

I probably made that assumption because you keep calling me a democrat...and a dependent one at that! Who's the fool?

We have lost too many lives in Iraq. What is never considered is, could the toll be higher if we were not there? We will never know.

We have not had massive attacks like we saw on 9-11 that killed so many more people in one day than we have lost to date in the war. We know that...I wonder what would have happened had we not put up our men there. They are so busy attacking us there that we are not seeing attacks elsewhere.

That is a fallacious argument. Paraphrasing: "Al Qaeda is too busy in Iraq to make another terrorist attack...therefore it was right to attack Iraq...even though there is no evidence of WMD or Al Qaeda links...because it keeps Al Qaeda busy!" And you call me a fool!

They can still send 19 men, financed with a million dollars and take out many many more than 3,000 if they want to. There is no such thing as too busy to attack. Especially a terrorist attack. I fear that they are simply biding their time and are currently putting together another attack. To think that they are not would be very dangerous indeed.

We will never know.

We already know that attacking Iraq does not prevent terrorist attacks. In fact attacks world wide are way up since attacking Iraq. So far we have been fortunate to not have an another attack on our soil. One is probably being planned as we speak and there is little that can be done to stop it.

I just wish this period would be over and people would stop killing each other.

Amen to that brother.

Orca
