Hi Marshall,
Yet another Source review in at MF RAIN:
Subject: Source Visit Date: 07 Sep 1997 21:22:47 EDT From: DonnaPG Message-id: <19970908012201.VAA28366@ladder01.news.aol.com>
Just got back in from The Source. When you walk in and go up the escalator you say WOW! Rain is very impresive right at the top of the escalator - what a setting!
When I checked the elephant at 5 the wait was over 2 hours, when we left around 8:30 there was still a wait but not very long.
We ate at 6 o'clock - used our go to the head of the line pass, and our party of 11 was seated within 5 minutes.
First the good comments: Everyone loved their food from salads, to burgers, to pastas it was all great.
The Sangria is terrific.
My friend commented on how clean the bathrooms were.
The kids and adults alike had a great time.
The bad points: The misting is definitely not working right. My friend's back was soaked by the end of the evening. When he told the manager he got a card for free desserts next visit.
The service was so sloowwww. We were there for over 2 hours. The waitress was super, she said the kitchen is still trying to get their act together. I can see the main courses takng a while, but the desserts took a half hour - and all we had was ice cream!
There did not seem to be enough chairs in the restaurant. We needed another for our table but were told there were no extras. Someone else commented that there were tables that were empty, but no chairs available to use there.
All in all it ws terrific and we all plan on going back there again.
This restaurant does not take reservations, even for large parties (we were originally going to be 15 so I called and double checked), but reservations might be a good idea once they get the kinks ironed out.
Most people eating and milling about were happy and had positive things to say. Retail was crowded, but not sure how many were buying.
I'm so excited to have a RAIN in my backyard, and can't wait to get my hands on those passes in the mailing!
let it RAIN!

Hope your weekend went well.
