The danger in that is the masses would continually ask for more social services etc cause they wouldnt have to pay a dime for it. This is part of our problem today. That being said, if a flat tax were to be adopted, I wouldnt have a problem in at least making the portion exempt up to the poverty line and possibly some more to cover say typical mortgage interest. In no way would I suggest it go over 20k total. jdn
