The prisoners in Guantanamo don't have a flush toilet.
They have a s**t bucket.
The Pashtun of Afganistan and Pakistan do not have flush toilets either, and so flush is not a word identified with waste disposal.
Flush is likely a mistranslation for throwing the religous books into the s**t bucket.
