Hi G.J.! That minority partner, the market-oriented Europe is alive but not kicking. It's voice is drowned by the clamor of the populaces for the state not to go away.

Siemens keeping hemorraging money but is prevented to sell its mobile phones' division because it means sacking people.

Labour markets can't be made flexible. Protects the employed to th detriment of the unemployed. People who are -today- employed don't want to compete with the unemployed in their own country. As a result industry migrate and they handpver their jobs to the Romanians and Czechs.

The frustration is not among French, Italian or German elites only. It is among the employers too.

They embraced NATO only because they are afraid of Russia. I see poles and Czechs all over western Europe doing the jobs that European shun. This is embracing.
