Why do we have this I-9 Federal Law if we are not going to heed it? When Bush came up with his new immigration proposal last year my first reaction was to wonder what happened to the old one. This law was passed amid much controversy and never heard from again. The proponents have nothing to say regarding whether it worked or didn't work and why. Even the opponents have nothing to say about it. That seems very, very strange to me.
