I am just irked by the blanket assertion that liberals are smarter than conservatives. And I'm just puzzled that you perceive such a blanket assertion, let alone take it personally. Which is why I'm so intrigued by your protestations about it. I keep trying to think of instances where liberals that I know have assumed that conservatives are dumb. I can think of only two, and it's not all conservatives that are supposedly dumb but only certain ones. The first is the liberal notion that working class members who vote Republican are acting against their interest, presumably because they're too dumb to recognize their own interests. I am aware of that one because I have argued that point, unsuccessfully, with some of them. The other is anyone who eschews evolution in favor of teaching creationism. I don't give the liberals any argument on that one. Perhaps you are aware of others?
