You are entitled to your opinion of the IRC.

I'm entitled to mine.

But I do challenge you to find one statement they have made in the past five years that is -- I won't even ask you to find one that's pro the Bush Administration; let's just ask you to find one that is neutral to it.

Were we thanked for the help we gave the Tsunami victims? No. We were criticized for not acting sooner and with more money. (And no recognition was given that we rely on a mix of public and private money while other countries whose citizens can't be individually generous because they are so heavily taxed give solely through their governments and therefore their governments look more generous). Was any recognition given to the fact that it was our military hospital ships and our troops on the ground giving aid? Not that I read.

Is any recognition given to the fact that it is primarily American drug companies which developed the drugs to fight HIV/AIDS? Nope. The focus is entirely on why aren't we giving these drugs away to more millions in Africa (which of course means that there isn't the money to develop the drugs to fight the next epidemic.)

Ah well. If you believe the IRC is neutral and objective, so be it.
