Well, the robust economy seems to be a lot of fast food and Wal-Mart jobs. There have been so many American family wage jobs lost to globalization and outsourcing that I am wondering you you plan to create one, in fact.

When American had strong unions, most Americans were middle class. Factory workers could afford to buy a house and send their children to college on one income. While there is much that was good about the WPA, it makes no sense to me to pay the unemployed to work on road and dam projects, etc. That was a temporary measure during a very deep depression. If we paid enough taxes so that public works projects could be funded, then we could hire workers and give them actual jobs. What would be wrong with that?

I have no idea why you consider Roosevelt a right winger, since he was not. Do you think liberals are just stupid or something?
